I said over in the Musician's Wanted thread about how this band I am currently in isn't doing the exact type music I'd like to be playing... but that being said, we're okay and we've got a gig tomorrow and it's for a good cause. This woman, Linda Oswell, needs a kidney transplant and doesn't have the money for that or the anti-rejection meds. We're raising money for her with this show tomorrow. You might have seen Jimmy and Drew on Your Carolina talking about the show this past Monday along with Linda herself. The show is being held at Langston Charter School which is 212 Roper Mt. Rd. Ext. at 7 pm. It's free and donations are strictly voluntary and I'm the MOST trigger shy person about giving but it is for a good cause. The music is everything from your standard Sweet Home Chicago and All Along the Watchtower to my song, On the Run, and a PJ Harvey cover of C'mon Billy and we even take a stab at Pink Floyd's Time. It would be worth it just to see how THAT goes over. So come out if you can tomorrow night and see what it's all about AND if you play some weird kind of music, come and chat with me. I'm the dark haired singer and bass player. I welcome any body!
